“I wish to have a yellow house in my garden

A child’s fight against a critical illness is not only physically exhausting – it is traumatic. A spark of hope can ignite a world of possibilities for a child and their family. This hope can be found in a wish.

Isabella’s parents experienced great pain when they lost their first child Marco. When Isabella arrived into the world, she was diagnosed with two illnesses, which forced her family to get used to more doctors and hospitals.

When the Make-A-Wish Italy volunteers met with Isabella on her first wish visit, it was close to the date of her surgery. The volunteers immediately got to work on her wish journey, so that once Isabella was out of the operating room she could hear the good news!

Isabella dreamed of having her own yellow house out her back garden, where she could cuddle her kittens, cook her own yummy food, and invite her friends over to join her for a cup of tea! When her wish was granted, it made Isabella feel more confident and ready to face whatever may lie ahead in the future.
