I wish to swim with a dolphin 

Eleni, Age 4, Greece

When the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Greece volunteers visited four-year-old Eleni, she knew exactly what her wish would be. She said she loved to swim, but no matter how deep she went or how long she stayed in the sea, she had never seen her favorite animal –the dolphin.

Eleni said that she had been collecting money whenever she could to save in her piggy bank in hopes that one day she would be able to go somewhere to swim with dolphins. She wanted to see what color they really were and how big they were.

Eleni lives with her family in Cyprus, but comes to Athens, Greece for her medical treatment. Even her parents were in the “wish spirit” and did not tell her that her wish would come true until they were at the Athens airport to return to Cyprus. When they arrived at the airport, a wish granter told Eleni that she was not going back to Cyprus, but would instead be going to Dubai to stay at the wonderful Atlantis – The Palm Resort, where she could see and swim with the dolphins. Eleni and her parents had a wonderful time in Dubai and as the picture shows, it really was a wish come true!!
